The doddleoddle YouTube personality is one you want to get to know.  Dodie Clark is a twenty year old British vlogger and singer.  She sings covers, is mostly known for playing ukulele, and even writes her own songs.  Her music is full of beautiful harmonies and creative lyrics.  Her main channel, doddleoddle, has almost 500,000 subscribers.  She has been on the platform for over five years and is well known within the YouTube community.

She has a special relationship with her fans that allows them to interact more than any other YouTube personality. Recently, she even composed, performed, and posted a video onto her channel with the help of her subscribers. The song, “Freckles and Constellations,” has over 500,000 views. Fans were asked to submit videos of themselves singing and playing the song, which Dodie then edited together creating a compilation of everyone’s renditions. Many fans made stop-motion lyric art for the final product as well.

Dodie makes a lasting emotional impact on her fans as well.  One of her original songs, “She,” has over one million views and is nearing one million views on the short film version.  The song has countless covers on YouTube.  Her vulnerability expressed in meaningful lyrics allows so many young people feeling the same way to relate to Dodie and feel comforted.  This is one of the songs Dodie is best known for and in some ways kick-started her into making more content on YouTube.

Her undeniable talent lightens up the YouTube space and inspires many on the platform.
