Adams Family Musical

The spring school musical for 2015 is The Adam’s Family. The iconic and gloomy Wednesday Adams begins to blossom into a girly girl after meeting a boy. Her family disagrees with her change in personality.

The auditions for The Adams Family play were on Feb 2 and 4. There are many different roles in the musical, but McKenna Dyjak would love to play any of these parts.

“I would be happy to be anyone honestly, but if I had to choose, probably Morticia,” said junior McKenna Dyjak.

Although it was pretty nerve racking for both the boys and the girls, Orianna Beard felt confident that she did well.

Not only were there lots of roles in the play, but there was also different monologues that they could choose from to audition. Many different people chose to do different ones, depending on what they thought they would be best at to impress the musical teacher, Mrs. Johnson, who would be picking who did what role in the musical.

“I did a monologue called “Run Free” about penguins and the song “Skrew Loose” from the musical Cry Baby,” stated McKenna Dyjak.

Orianna Beard also did a monologue.

“I did a monologue called “The Angry Librarian” and “As if we never said goodbye” from sunset bullivard,” said  Beard.

Everyone in drama is close and treat eachother as if they are family.

“Honestly I love the people in it, performing is awesome. The feeling you get after a good performance is amazing.” Says Dyjak after asking what she loved best about being in the drama club and why.

All in all, The Adams Family Musical here at the U is going to be a hit to remember.
