Cross Country Summer Conditioning

– It might be hot and you might dehydrate, but it’s all for Cross Country.

It might be brutal running in Florida’s summer, but for Cross Country it is worth it.

Cross Country is a sport that is done at the school – you run in/across fields or woods or countries, as opposed to running on track or roads. And this summer there will four practices a week in June, and three in July.

In the month of June, on Mondays, starting on the 8th, the team will be conditioning at Philippe Park 8:30-9:30pm. On Tuesdays, it will be at Wall Springs Park, 6:00-7:00pm. Wednesdays will also be at Philippe Park, same time. And on Thursdays the team will run down the Dunedin Causeway at 6:00-7:00pm.

In the month of July, the team will run only three times a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The same places and times.

If running is your thing, join Cross Country. Its not too late to sign up – just talk to Coach Southard if you are a girl, and Coach Schaefer if you are a boy.
