Stick to the code

– MTV’s hottest show, Girl Code, deals with the rules and guidelines for teens.

MTV and MTV2 definitely made all the right choices creating Guy Code and the spin-off Girl Code to bring in more viewers to the channel, because we can not get enough of either!

Girl Code consists of a group of female comedians, musicians, actresses, and even a handful of guys. They are given topics to relate to, and talk about as they explain what to do in those situations.

With the first episode of the third season airing on September 7th for Girl Code, there is much hype for what’s to come. Bold new topics – same comedians.

Guy Code, which is the same as Girl Code, aired for the first time in 2011 and just finished their fourth season and working on their fifth. “The group of guys joke around and try to lighten the weird subjects the best they can with humor, and it works most of the time,” junior, Tara Buck said.

Both shows deal with awkward topics from all different views that make it that more relatable to our age group. They can give advice for just about anything, from first dances to first kisses.

When there’s two types of the same kind of share, favorites are picked.

“I would say guy code is the better show because they make it easy to understand. Girl Code is good too, but I feel like I already understand it,” sophomore, Jessica Minton said.

Either way the two shows are sure to make you laugh out loud. The wait can be antagonizing for the next season, but it will certainly be worth it. Tell a friend about it and let them in on the rules and guidelines.

“With the show’s dealing with things we are going through today as students, I would recommend it to anyone who asks,” Minton said.
