The women’s golf team has played against different schools around the county such as Largo, East Lake, Tarpon Springs and others.

Winning most of the games, the team has made Palm Harbor one of the top three schools in the district, and they went to the region finals in Tampa, FL on the 20th and 21st of October. The girls have played well against these different schools but they have to be one of the best to get a chance to play at regionals.

“The team has great confidence heading on into the region finals,” Player Alex Obar said.

For a typical golf game, a player must have the lowest five scores within the team to go on to districts. But the whole team must put all of their effort into winning this next tournament, even after being in the top three at districts.

The five players going to the region finals are Charley Majeski, Andrea Tripodis, Perri Damico, Patti Blake, and Alex Obar.

“Practice is key to being a successful team,” Alex Obar said, “We cannot afford to lose.”

If the golf team wins here, then they will move onto the state finals, and have the opportunity to become state champions.
