On the 14th of December, chorus and band students gathered to show off the songs that they had been working on for the past month in a concert for parents and friends.
The concert included excerpts from Vivaldi’s “Gloria” as well as many Christmas classics.
“The concert went so much better than I thought it would,” senior Grace McClelland said. “The live music by the band was the best part.”
Accompanied by the extremely talented pick of the school orchestra, senior Emily Symanski and sophomore Brooke Johnson sang the classic Laudamus Te.
“My dad’s favorite was Emily and Brooke’s duet,” McClelland said. “They sounded so good, and I know they put a lot of work into it every day in class.”
After the chorus students came to the finale of their performance, the band strayed behind and displayed their adamant focus on their Christmas music. The jazz band performed Rockin’ Around the Christmas tree, and received a standing ovation.
