It’s that time of the year again! PHUHS HOSA is hosting their annual toy drive for the Kimberly Home. The Kimberly Home is a haven for young mothers that struggle in raising their child or children.
Tiny little “giving trees” have been placed in various medical teacher’s rooms that hold Christmas shaped paper holiday ornaments. These ornaments represent boys and girls ranging from newborns to little kids who need a present this holiday season.
“The ornament has a specific age, gender, and request (toy or clothing) on it for what a child at the Kimberly Home needs,” senior Bridget Belcik said.
The gifts are then to be wrapped and brought in to Ms. Miller’s room in the medical building.
These gifts should be in by Wednesday December 19th; the day the Kimberly Home comes to pick up the gifts. Not only are the gifts picked up, but as a thank you, the organization throws a party after school that day for the HOSA members who bring in a gift.
