French Club is headed in a new direction under the watchful eye of the new french teacher, Madame Lynda Arbogast. They are starting more fun activities that have drawn a growing 60 students to the club. They have meetings that are held on a random Tuesday near the middle of the month. The activities during the club meetings range each time. Some of the activities were: a Crepe party, Croix Monsieur, and origami Eiffel towers. They’re going to have Belgium waffles and probably a French scavenger hunt.
“ In the upcoming months the club members will be a part of two French related events,” Lynda Arbogast said. “ I am really excited to see how they react to my new plans.”
The teens do not mind staying after school, because Madame Arbogast sets them up with educational, yet fun activities to keep them busy.
“Most of the time we have food and hold meetings once a month cause our previous teacher left,” senior Gillian Shaw said. Shaw has been the president of the club since October.
Madame Lynda Arbogast replaced Madame Hern when the second semester started up. Although the students are sad about Madame Hern retiring, they all love the new teacher and appreciate all the hard work she has put into her job.
“Although she’s different than Madame Hern, she funny and seems very involved. I’m impressed by what she seems able to do, especially after retirement,” Shaw said.
