Creative writing club

Creative+writing+club

There are many clubs in Palm Harbor University High School. One to bring up is the Creative Writing club. This club has been around for quite some time.

Creative Writing club is where writers and future writers come to after school to get more experience or time on writing. Club members can even learn other styles of writing in this club.

“I enjoy the casual environment in which I can write freely and get professional feedback from people of the same trade,” Maddie Smiley, the club’s president, stated.

This club is a place of comfort for people who have plans in the future with writing. A good example is from Raimi Saroff, a sophomore at PHU. “I plan to publish a book someday,” Saroff said. There is never a need to be nervous about writing in this club.

In creative writing club they also participate in NaNowWriMo which is a event that happens for one month each year for writers with a challenge. The challenge is 50,000 words in 30 days! This is always a mission for some of this club’s members.

Another thing this club accomplished was last year the club had the privilege to have 10 pages in the yearbook dedicated to CWC. This let the members share a piece of their writing so that anyone who got a yearbook could read them.

Anyone who is interested can always come to join this club Thursday’s after school. This club can truly pull up confidence and help make friends in future writers.
