Ohmigosh! It’s Brad Womack! Hey wait… haven’t I written this article before??
This season of ABC’s The Bachelor starring, yes, Brad Womack (again) is sure to be just as…well… Bachelor-esque as ever.
Womack, a 37-year-old bar owner, employs his southern charm, beyond adorable Texas twang, and let’s not forget his “physical fitness” to earn a second chance from thirty swooning bachelorettes.
Now, in case you have forgotten (as if!), Womack is the infamous Bachelor who chose not to choose. He left two devastated bachelorettes, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft, sobbing and alone upon the finale of his last stint on the show; Womack is quite possibly the most hated man in Bachelor history. Not to worry, he has found an “incredible psychiatrist” who has helped him with his commitment problems and residual abandonment issues involving his father. Believe me folks, I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried. Despite his instability and bad reputation, I, and the rest of America, have a humongous crush on him! There are two things women love: Bad Boys and Vulnerable Men. ABC, you never fail to amaze me.
During the season premiere Monday night the flawlessly spray-tanned Womack emphasized that he has, in fact, changed. Let’s reflect on some of Brad’s favorite phrases, shall we? [Spoiler Alert]
- I’ve changed.
- I’ve done some soul searching.
- I’m here for the right reasons.
- I want to find my wife.
- This is my second chance at love.
- I’ve changed.
- I’ve changed.
- I’ve changed.
Although I may have just summarized the entire episode, trust me, you won’t notice. The tireless geniuses of ABC have cleverly disguised Womack’s inadequate vocabulary with his frequently un-shirted physique. And it works.
Did I mention Seal sings Kiss From a Rose? Over and over and over–that sneaky ABC.
As far as the girls are concerned, this year’s bachelorettes include a crazy vampire chick, a manscaper (you don’t want to know), a girl with weird shoes, and a dentist who likes to dance Risky Business-style without them. Needless to say, this season of The Bachelor should be quite the sensory experience for all. Maybe if we are lucky it will end with another heated Jake and Vienna argument!
Stay tuned for the finale in March to see if the second time really is the charm… After all, Brad really has changed.
