Springing Into Spring

What to expect in Spring 2017.

Springing+Into+Spring

As we move into Spring, the days get longer and the sleeves get shorter. Now that the Winter holidays are over, most students are counting down the days until Spring break.

Everyone continues to be annoyed by the inconsistency of temperatures in Florida. This Winter was record-breakingly warm all over the country. A t-shirt and shorts could be best for one day, but a sweatshirt and jeans for the next.

February will mostly be concentrated around 70 or 80 degrees, and the middle of the month seems to have the most possibility of thunderstorms.

Even though the cold days are melting away, the first day of Spring isn’t until March 20th. According to Accuweather.com, the high will be “79°, cloudy skies.” The first day of Spring is the monday after Spring break (March 13-17), but fortunately for students, school is not in session that day.

All year round, Floridians gather at the beach and complain about all the Northern liscence plates taking up valuable parking spots. Clearwater Beach is full during all seasons. Luckily, Accuweather.com has forecasted a sunny, 75° week.

According to Cosmopolitan.com, Starbucks will be bringing back special drinks around this time. “The Smoked Butterscotch Latte will make its return… but once again, for a limited time.” The Cascara Latte and the Smoked Butterscotch Latte are two examples of drinks that will be coming back for a limited time in 2017.

Certain trends simply can’t be determined in advance, though they are inevitable. One month is down in 2017 with 11 more to go. Spring is right around the corner.
