Teacher Appreciation week is one week of the school year in which the entire nation takes part to honor their teachers and all the hard work they do.
“Even if it’s just a letter, or saying one thing, it really makes us feel good,” said Erin Pollack, head of NHS.
NHS took the time to help celebrate the week by decorating the doors of all the teacher’s classrooms.
“We wanted to think of something that such a large club would be capable of. With over 200 members and about 120 teachers, it seemed feasible we would be able to do something for every teacher on campus,” Pollack said.
The teachers also received goodie bags containing something featuring a catchy play off words. Last year, teachers received smores with a note reading, we need smore teachers like you.
“This was a really creative and fun way to show our appreciation,” said NHS member Emily Bard.
The teachers greatly appreciated all the hard work NHS put into the teacher appreciation week.
