Summer, for most, indicates freedom from strict responsibilities of juggling school, extracurriculars, and work. Once school is swiped off of students’ plates, there will be many more opportunities to enjoy the Florida heat without having to worry whether there will be time to finish studying for a semester cumulative test.

With that in mind, music festivals are a hit to most teens who just want to get away for an afternoon or weekend and spend time singing along with their friends to album favorites. The following is a collection of upcoming outdoor festivals that may be worth attending within the next few weeks:

Orange Blossom Jamboree

This festival is in Brooksville from May 19-22. Because it lasts multiple days, attendees have the opportunity to camp there overnight at an additional cost of $20. Some of the bands that will perform include Suénalo, Shak Nasti, Come Back Alice, Juke, the Applebutter Express, and the Bobby Lee Rodgers Trio. There will be over 50 bands at the venue, along with bonfires and drum circles. Tickets range from $90 to $110, depending on how many days will be spent there.

97x BBQ

This is hosted on Saturday, May 28 at Vinoy Park in Downtown St. Petersburg. Tickets are free; one simply has to go to a ticket drop and be within the first 100 people to arrive. The lineup includes artists such as Young the Giant, the Strumbellas, Bear Hands, the Wombats, JR JR, and Never Shout Never.

Country 500

This is in Daytona, beginning May 27 and going through May 29. Tickets prices range from $75 to a whopping $999. The price depends on how much access one wants while they are there. Performers include Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Florida Georgia Line, Lee Brice, and Lady Antebellum.

Sunset Music Festival

The Sunset Music Festival takes place in Tampa from May 28 to May 29. One can either purchase a wristband or a regular ticket. Wristbands give the same exclusives that tickets do, plus much more. They act as cash for those who want to buy concessions and also allow one to wait in shorter lines. Normal tickets are $159, while wristbands are more costly. Artists that will be there include Hardwell, Jack Ü, Galantis, 3Lau, and the Chainsmokers.
