Water wars 2017

Water+wars+2017

It’s time. Water wars is back and better than ever. Water wars is a huge game for all the graduating class to participate in. The students break up into groups of 4-7 people and come up with names for each team as well as assign a team captain. Every person pays $5 and whoever is the last person standing at the end wins all the money. In order to win, a person on your team has to be the last one standing. If you get sprayed with water, you have to give your team wristband to whoever hit you. The game is based a lot on honesty.

It’s what all the seniors are talking about right now. At lunch and all around the school you will hear things like “I can’t believe she got me out! She promised she wouldn’t,” and “since he got me out now you need to get him out as payback for me.” People seem to get a little mad about getting out but it’s all part of the game and they know what they signed up for.

One important thing that people seem to be learning really fast is to not trust a different team even if it’s your friends. The game is kill or be killed and, although combining teams may seem like a good idea so you can get other teams out, anyone can change their mind and quickly turn on their friends. You can’t trust anyone in this game.

There are pretty strict rules for where the students can and cannot play. They cannot play at school or at school events (such as prom), or at someone’s place of work. They can however wait outside someone’s house, car, or anywhere else they know the person will be. Almost all of the participants carry their water guns with them in their cars to make sure they are ready at all times.
This game is a good way for the seniors to have fun before graduation and helps to take some of the stress of school away.
