The Christmas spirits are flowing through and that means the Holiday Lights at Largo Central Park are rolling in. Every year, for the past 24 years, Largo has filled its park with over two million LED lights. The holiday lights is a big event during Christmas in Largo.

“During Christmas time I like to go to Largo Central Park to see the lights with my friend. I like seeing the different light arrangements,” Brooke Ferguson (“20) said.

Families and friends go out and take a stroll to see the park decorated with lights. There are many attractions provided to the public.

Returning this year, the park also has a carousel and a ferris wheel that gives a birds-eye view of the 70-acre park, available to the public, $5 per ride.

“The ferris wheel shows you a great view of the entire park. It is a wonderful scenery,” Ariana Badia (“19) said.

Most of the people that attend Largo Central Park Holiday Lights are either locals or have heard about it from someone. That is why the event has become so popular.

The lights at Largo Central Park is family friendly. There is a free train ride that goes around the park for adults and kids to enjoy. Also, there is a fire pit to roast some s’mores and sit around and savor in the chocolaty taste.

Each year people go out to celebrate and spread the Christmas joy. It’s a good opportunity to have fun with family and friends. The Holiday Lights at Largo Central Park event grows and keeps on growing. The light display is what the people look forward to.
