Breast cancer survivors find new hope at My Hope Chest.

My Hope Chest is the one and only organization concentrating on treatment for uninsured survivors. Many of these women have lost hope, not knowing that there is a cure, which is My Hope Chest. Just imagine that one thing that makes you a woman being snatched away, not being able to be like every other woman. The result of that can be insecurity, low self-esteem, and depression

“I went on living life having to accept the fact that I will forever live with one breast, not knowing that there was someone to “come to my rescue,” Makesha Graydon said.

In 2003, Alisa Savoretti founded My Hope Chest because she knew how difficult it was to go through life and having to tackle so many obstacles by having only one breast.

My Hope Chest is a non-profitable organization that provides women, who are uninsured, reconstructive surgery. Many breast cancer survivors are unable to afford the expensive series of reconstruction surgeries.

“Our mission is to make women feel whole again and feel comfortable in their body,” Alisa Savoretti said.

Their personal gain is instilling hope and healing into breast cancer survivors. Also, to reinforce confidence into women’s lives. The organization has transformed many lives and has given closure to women. Many of them not even knowing that My Hope Chest even existed.

My Hope Chest has many opportunities for volunteers to help with events and fundraisers. For example, in 2018 the Butterfly gloWalk.

They accept all donations to help go toward reconstruction surgeries. There are many survivors worldwide who could use the assistance from My Hope Chest. After all, having to deal with facing a life-or-death health issue is already tough for women to endure. My Hope Chest gives all women a second chance at living their best life.
