Student Spotlight: Harmoni Stanford

Harmoni Stanford is a current senior in the medical program. Throughout her high school career, Stanford has shined both in and outside of the classroom. She is president of 3 clubs, a scholarship award recipient, and an athlete. 

 

HOSA, future health professionals, is a club majority of medical students participate in. Stanford has been a part of this club since freshman year and currently serves as club president. She is striving to continue her medical career in college and become a doctor one day.

PHUHS holds immense talent in both our chorus and theatre programs. Stanford participated in both as a member of the acapella After School Specials and president of chorus. She also participated in the school theatre productions as a cast member. 

 

Another club Stanford participates in is the Greater Palm Harbor YMCA’s teen leaders club. She serves as one of the 5 presidents and has been a part of the club since her freshman year. This club is involved in many community fundraisers and volunteers at YMCA events such as the kid’s triathlon, the Palm Harbor Christmas parade, the YMCA flag football league, and much more.

Most recently, Stanford won the Pinellas County Schools Dr. Joseph L Carwise scholarship. This scholarship was awarded in Dr. Joseph L. Carwise’s legacy and recognises the academic achievements of minority students. Stanford was one of the 10 seniors awarded a scholarship.

 

Stanford has accomplished many great things during her 4 years in high school. She is dedicated and determined and has a bright future ahead of her.
