Seniors who purchased a parking spot will be able to begin PAINTING their spots on Saturday, Jan. 7 between the times of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Before spots can be painted, a sketch of the design must be approved. Senior ADS are due at the absolute latest on Oct. 21, no exceptions. To receive 10% off, ads must be turned in by Sept. 23. Ads may be submitted to Mrs. Cannaday in room 4-115, to be designed by the Aftermath staff, or online at phuhs.org by clicking the “Buy your yearbook ad” link. If the senior ad is to be submitted to Mrs. Cannaday, a contract must be printed, completed, and turned in with the order. The contract can be found on the senior page (kwanga.net/senior-class.htm). YEARBOOK sales have already begun. They can be ordered online at phuhs.org by clicking on the “Buy your yearbook” link located on the home page. The price for a yearbook is $55, which includes the student’s name stamped on the yearbook’s front cover and a protective plastic cover. If the yearbook is bought online there will be a $2 service charge. Seniors may purchase both a yearbook and senior ad online at once. Yearbooks will be sold at school starting Tuesday, Oct. 11 until Oct. 19 during both lunches. The last day to make an online order is Tuesday, Jan. 24. The SENIOR ASSEMBLY will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3 during first period in the gymnasium. Students are required to attend but must check in with their first period teacher beforehand. Students who miss the assembly will not be pictured in the senior class panoramic portrait. Students must bring a writing utensil. For more information please contact Mrs. Bauck in room 6-103.
GRADUATION FEES include a gown and cap, a medallion, security, and ceremony operating costs. The price is still to be determined, but should be estimated to be around last year’s cost of $80. Only cash or checks made out to PHUHS will be accepted. Collection of fees will begin Monday, Nov. 14 and will end Thursday, Nov. 17. If you miss this deadline please see the graduation coordinator (TBA) before or after school.
PROM will be held on Saturday, April 20 at the Kapok Special Events Center from 8 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Information about how to nominate a Prom King and Prom Queen will be released at a further date. Seniors and juniors may purchase tickets for themselves and one other guest. The guest must be at least a junior in high school and cannot be over the age of 20. Attendees are required to bring a photo I.D. to prom. The price for tickets is still to be announced. Only the location of sales has been released thus far: the theater ticket booth located behind the teaching auditorium.
GRAD BASH this year will be held on Friday, April 27 at Universal Studios and Island of Adventure from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m. There will be thrill rides, attractions, live DJs, dancing, karaoke, and street entertainment. Both students and chaperones must attend a meeting in the gym at 3 p.m. for a final dress code and paperwork check. Buses are planned to be leaving around 4 p.m. from the school. Buses should be departing from Grad Bash around 2 a.m. and are expected to arrive at school approximately at 4 a.m. on Saturday, April 28. More Grad Bash information can be found on the senior page (kwanga.net/senior-class.htm). The price for tickets is to be estimated around $105. Tickets will be on sale staring Monday, Feb. 6 to Feb. 10 and then again on Monday, Feb. 13 until Feb. 17; no tickets will be sold after this date. There are only 250 spots available; first come, first serve. They will be sold in the theater lobby during both lunches. Dual enrollment and early college students may see Mrs. Bauck to purchase a ticket. Exact change, checks and bank checks made out to PHUHS, and money orders are acceptable. Before purchasing a ticket all paperwork must be completed and can be found on the senior page. All paperwork must have a parent signature even if student is over the age of 18. Sign-up for buses will be done on the same day of ticket purchasing. Those who do not sign up for a bus will be assigned one randomly. Students will receive tickets on the way to Grad Bash on the bus. All students are required to bring a photo I.D. to the event. There will be a waiting list of students for tickets. SENIOR BREAKFAST will be held at the Innisbrook Resort in the Stirling Hall on Friday, May 25. Check-in will be at 8 a.m. but students are recommended to arrive early since all vehicles must pass through security to receive a permit and a map. Students are required to bring a photo I.D. A bus will be available to about 40 students who need a ride; sign up will be available when purchasing a ticket. Students who plan on taking the bus must be at the bus circle by 7:15 a.m. for check-in. Tickets are estimated to be around $22. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, Mar. 12 until Friday, Mar. 16 and then again on Monday, Mar. 19 until Thursday, Mar. 22. After this date, no more tickets will be sold under any circumstances. They will be sold during both lunches in the theater lobby. Dual enrollment and early college students can see Mrs. Bauck before school to purchase tickects. Tickets will only be sold to those students who have completed both mandatory forms found on the senior page (kwanga.net/senior-class.htm). All paperwork must contain a parent signature, even for those students over the age of 18. There will also be a waiting list for tickets. SENIOR BREAKFAST SLIDE SHOW pictures are to be e-mailed to [email protected] by May 4. This is only for senior breakfast class pictures not for the IB or CWMP senior celebrations.
SENIOR SUPERLATIVES will be voted for starting Monday, Mar. 12 through Mar. 16 during both lunches in the theater lobby. Ballots can be printed out as needed on the senior page. A photo I.D. must be presented to be checked off the master student list. Dual enrollment and early college can see Mrs. Bauck before school.
The CWMP SENIOR CELEBRATION will be held on Sunday, May 20 at the Innisbrook Resort in the Stirling Hall at 5 p.m. More information should be released closer to the date.
The IB SENIOR CELEBRATION has not been determined yet.
The UNIVERSITY SENIOR CELEBRATION will be held in the PHUHS cafeteria; the date has not yet been announced. For more information please refer to the Facebook page: PH University Booster Club.
Not too much information about senior GRADUATION has been announced yet except that students are to arrive an hour early to the event. There will be photos taken of every graduate during the ceremony. To receive proofs of these photos please pre-register your e-mail and mailing address information to Bob Knight Photo. This can be done by visiting the “Grad Trak” website; a link can be found in the senior page. More information will be let out on a future date once the graduation coordinator is chosen.
Another parent/volunteer-sponsored event called STORM SURGE will be held for the graduating class at 2872 Sea Pines Circle West, Clearwater, FL 33761. This is planned to be a drug-free, alcohol-free, and tobacco-free all-night party. Volunteers are needed to help plan and host this party. More information can be gathered from Bob Bentz.
