Word on campus is that new administrators are on the prowl.

Just into her 18th year with the Pinellas County school system, Mrs.  Berry made the switch from Countryside High School to PHU’s IB program .

“[I] only heard good things about the “U” before coming here,” Berry said. “One of my favorite things so far is how open our campus is and I don’t regret the switch at all.”

The first day of school is known to be stressful and Mrs. Berry had one main goal in mind.

“ I wanted to just get through the day,” Berry said.

Berry tries to encourage students on campus with advice.

“My advice to the seniors is keep working hard, even when it gets tough,” Berry said.

However, Mrs. Berry isn’t our only new face on campus. Our medical magnet program has recently taken in Mrs. Dupee. In fact, the medical magnet is what attracted this new administrator to PHUHS for her seventh year with the Pinellas County school board.

“I think the certification classes offered for medical students in their senior year is a great opportunity for our young scholars,” Dupee said.

Palm Harbor is much larger compared to other schools Dupee has worked with and certainly has more portables.

Mrs. Dupee advises this year’s seniors to “steer clear from senioritis” and “keep in mind that the end is near.”

Keep an eye out for these new faces as we welcome them into our storm.
