The graduating seniors of 2017 have stepped up their art game for this year’s parking spot painting.  After waiting for three hours over the summer in order to simply purchase a senior parking spot, students were excited to finally make their mark on PHU, at least for a year.

On Saturday August 13, this year’s seniors set to work on painting their parking spots.  Designs had to be checked by teachers Michael Mullaney and Stacy Elliott when the spots were purchased.  Students had three and a half hours on Saturday to start their painting and put the finishing touches on their spot.

There are definitely a couple spots that stand out from the rest.  In particular, Lauren Mann’s Winnie the Pooh design is very cute and nostalgic.

“I have always loved Disney and I want to work there as an artist when I grow up, so I was considering many Disney designs,” Mann said, explaining how she came up with the idea.  “It was a fairly simplistic design and I felt I could accomplish it within the time limit.”

The 2017 graduating class has officially begun their senior year.
