Winter break is a time for relaxation and celebration of the holidays for most students. Two weeks to do almost whatever you want, but not for the boy’s varsity basketball team.
The team participated in a tournament held at Northside Christian School in Tampa that took place during the first week of winter break. Giving their all, they resulted in a triumph in winning the whole tournament and a trophy to go with. Senior and forward, Michael Foor was very ecstatic about the triumph. “It felt good to win for once because we usually loose,” Foor said.
After beating Clearwater Central Catholic and Seacrest High School, the team finished off the tournament by defeating Northside Christian School in the final game.
As of right now, the team has an 8-7 win/loss record for the season. They still have a majority of the season left to improve their record. “I hope we hold a winning record till the end of the season,” senior Michael Tavoularis said.
