Pena was just signed back onto the team after being traded to the Cubs last season. Now there’s just one question. Will he make a big comeback?
Cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs and ice cream. Just a few of the many smells that greets you as you walk into the stadium. Jordan Harris and Cristina Collins had a lot to share about their own experiences at the stadium and their thoughts on the upcoming season. “My favorite memory was when my father caught a ball at the end of the seventh inning for me on my birthday” said Jordan. Everyone’s heard of the rumors of the Rays moving their team to another stadium in a different city. “I wouldn’t like it, because they would be farther away and it’d be harder to go to games” said Cristina. While Jordan, didn’t have any problem with the move. They both quickly answered that Evan Longoria was their favorite player. Jordan’s favorite thing to do during the 7th inning stretch is to pet the stingrays, while Cristina’s favorite is to get ice cream. Even though they both had their differences, they’re excited to go to the games this year.
Whether the Rays stay in St Pete or move to Tampa, they have millions of loyal fans who will follow them wherever they go. If they can beat their biggest competition the Yankees this year, hopefully they can go all the way to the Playoffs again!
