After a long wait the time has finally come. Tonight on Monday, January 9th, the #2 Clemson Tigers will take on the #1 Alabama  Crimson Tide for the College Football Playoff Final.

For the second year in a row, the National Championship will be decided between Clemson and Alabama.

Last season Alabama took home the title with a 45-40 win over the Tigers so Clemson is looking for some revenge when they step onto the field.

After Clemson defeated Ohio State 31-0 in the Fiesta Bowl and Alabama blew Washington 24-7 in the Peach Bowl, both teams knew they had exactly what they wanted and that’s a great matchup and challenge. Last year’s championship was one for the books but this year could very well top it.

Both teams are led by top coaches in the game of football and they have definitely worked very hard to get to this summit.

Just as both teams have been working hard in preparation for the big game, so have workers in Tampa getting ready to play host to this prestigious event.

Crews have been working hard all week to prepare Tampa and Raymond James Stadium knowing that this game will largely benefit the whole Tampa Bay area from a business and community point of view. The stadium crew had one of the toughest jobs with only a week turnaround from the Outback Bowl which was also at Raymond James on the 2nd.

As soon as everything was ready the teams and their fans were ready to have a great time in the Florida sun have all been very happy to be here.

Many great events have been going on throughout the Tampa Bay for fans to participate in. Thanks to the fans Tampa will remember this championship week for years and years to come.

An unusually chilly Florida day will combine with the beauty of the Tampa Bay and along with the hard work of game staff, Raymond James Stadium will be a great stage for the Tigers and Crimson Tide to go to war.
