Out with the Old, In with the New!

Finishing the school year and getting ready for new summer beginnings

With the last day of school at Palm Harbor University High School coming up this May 25th, we see the 2022-’23 school year come to an end. This means end of year exams, and the end of many good memories throughout the year.

“I’m planning on exempting the exams that I am able to, but I’m still stressed studying for the exams I do need to take. I’m just patiently waiting for summer to come” said Addison Iosa (‘26).

Iosa is not enrolled in any programs at PHUHS but is on the Celtics soccer team.

“I’ve already done my AP human geography exam, and I have many more to go,” Maddox Marquez (‘26) said.

It seems students are stressed with the end of the year exams and activities.

With the end of this era comes new things as well. This includes a relaxing and fun summer.

“I’m spending my summer practicing football for the upcoming season in August. Other than that, I’m probably not doing anything else,” said Emory Tipton (‘25).

“I might be going on vacation somewhere, but even if I don’t, I’m looking forward to spending time with my friends and at home,” Marquez said.

Iosa is most excited about soccer and going to Wyoming to visit family.

“It will certainly be more fun than school is.” Summer is like a sweet release from school, especially after all of these end-of-year exams!
