A good weekend sports wise for Tampa Bay

Jordan Lutz, Staff Reporter

It was a good weekend to be a Tampa Bay sports fan. The Buccaneers, Lightning, and Rays all managed to win their games and make Tampa fans jump for joy.

Last Sunday, the Buccaneers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 24-21. They won with a last second field goal, getting them three points ahead. Now, the Bucs are 3 and 1. This puts them in 2nd place in the NFC South.

The Lightning hockey team had their opening game against the Atlantic Thrashers last Saturday. The team won the game 5-3 and #91 Steven Stamkos, one of the youngest players on the team, scored 2 of those goals.

Gotta have more cowbell. The Rays made fans go nuts when they took the win against the Texas Rangers, with a final of 5-2. They had a 5 to nothing lead and kept it at 5-2 with the powerful pitching of Wade Davis.

All Tampa teams are doing great and will hopefully keep the Tampa fans smiling.
