Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day passed, here are some delicious treats you may have made to celebrate.
Valentine’s Day is February 14th and everyone deserves a treat on this holiday. So here are some delicious and easy desserts you may have wanted to make:
To start, you can never go wrong with some classic chocolate covered strawberries. All you need is:
- Chocolate melts
- Strawberries
- Parchment paper
To make this delicious treat all you need to do is:
- Rinse and dry your strawberries.
- Melt your chocolate in the microwave.
- Dip your prepared strawberries into the chocolate.
- Place the finished strawberries on parchment to be refrigerated.
If chocolate strawberries are not your favorite, you can always make Valentine’s Day cake pops. You will need:
- 1/2 prepared 9 x13 cake.
- chocolate frosting (you will only need a few spoonful’s)
- Chocolate or Candy Coating
- Sprinkles (optional)
All you need to do is:
- Add cake to a large bowl.
- Crumble until it resembles fine crumbs and add in frosting a little bit at a time until cake is moist and can hold a ball shape yet is still slightly crumbly.
- Scoop out two scoop worth of cake mixture and roll the mixture into a tight ball and place on a plate.
- Melt 2-4 ounces of white chocolate in the microwave. Then dip the tip of the cake pop sticks into the white chocolate and insert into the cake balls about half-way and then freeze them.
- Meanwhile prepare all your decorating supplies.
- Melt the remaining chocolate in a large cup. Make sure you have enough chocolate to completely submerge the cake ball.
- Remove cake balls from freezer.
- Dip cake balls carefully into the chocolate until covered.
- Add the sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. It will harden quickly.
- Stick the decorated cake pop into a styrofoam block to finish setting. Then place into the freezer to speed up setting time.

And that is it! I understand cake pops are not the easiest to make which is why I recommend a simple fruit assortment. To make this all you need is:
- Desired fruit
- Wooden skewers
- Cookie cutters (optional)
- A vase or pitcher for display (optional)
To create your masterpiece, you need to:
- Cut your fruit to desired shape.
- Place each piece of fruit on a skewer.
- Display in a vase or pitcher.
There you go, I hope this gave you inspiration for some fun desserts to make this Valentine’s Day.
