Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day passed, here are some delicious treats you may have made to celebrate.

Valentines+Day

Valentine’s Day is February 14th and everyone deserves a treat on this holiday. So here are some delicious and easy desserts you may have wanted to make:

To start, you can never go wrong with some classic chocolate covered strawberries. All you need is:

  • Chocolate melts
  • Strawberries
  • Parchment paper

To make this delicious treat all you need to do is:

  1. Rinse and dry your strawberries.
  1. Melt your chocolate in the microwave.
  1. Dip your prepared strawberries into the chocolate.
  1. Place the finished strawberries on parchment to be refrigerated.

If chocolate strawberries are not your favorite, you can always make Valentine’s Day cake pops. You will need:

  • 1/2 prepared 9 x13 cake.
  • chocolate frosting (you will only need a few spoonful’s)
  • Chocolate or Candy Coating
  • Sprinkles (optional)

All you need to do is:

  1. Add cake to a large bowl.
  1. Crumble until it resembles fine crumbs and add in frosting a little bit at a time until cake is moist and can hold a ball shape yet is still slightly crumbly.
  1. Scoop out two scoop worth of cake mixture and roll the mixture into a tight ball and place on a plate.
  1. Melt 2-4 ounces of white chocolate in the microwave. Then dip the tip of the cake pop sticks into the white chocolate and insert into the cake balls about half-way and then freeze them.
  1. Meanwhile prepare all your decorating supplies.
  1. Melt the remaining chocolate in a large cup. Make sure you have enough chocolate to completely submerge the cake ball.
  1. Remove cake balls from freezer.
  1. Dip cake balls carefully into the chocolate until covered.
  1. Add the sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. It will harden quickly.
  1. Stick the decorated cake pop into a styrofoam block to finish setting. Then place into the freezer to speed up setting time.

And that is it! I understand cake pops are not the easiest to make which is why I recommend a simple fruit assortment. To make this all you need is:

  • Desired fruit
  • Wooden skewers
  • Cookie cutters (optional)
  • A vase or pitcher for display (optional)

To create your masterpiece, you need to:

  1. Cut your fruit to desired shape.
  1. Place each piece of fruit on a skewer.
  1. Display in a vase or pitcher.

There you go, I hope this gave you inspiration for some fun desserts to make this Valentine’s Day.
