With homecoming right around the corner comes homecoming week! Students have a different prompt to dress up to each day of the week from 9/18 to 9/22, leading up to the Homecoming dance on Saturday, 9/23. Students can demonstrate their spirit and creativity with each fun category!
Monday, Sept. 18th’s category was generations. Generations day included our freshmen dressing as babies, sophomores dressing as toddlers, juniors dressing as adults and seniors dressing as senior citizens. We got to see many kids dressed up and showing their school spirit. This included Rita Szymanska (‘26). She dressed as a toddler, as she is a sophomore. “I just wore some of my old clothes and overalls to put together an outfit. I love to participate and wear something funny and cute.” said Szymanska (‘26)

Tuesday, Sept. 19th’s category was celebrity day. Students got to dress as their favorite character. From Donald Trump to Snoop Dog, the school saw a big variety of celebrities. One example was Kaitlyn Kejonen (‘26), Olive Piasecke (‘26), and Rhianna O’Connell (‘26). These girls are dressed as Adam Sandler, Drake, and Dwayne Johnson, respectively.

Wednesday, Sept 20th’s category was heroes vs. villains. You could choose to dress as a superhero, like Superman, Batman, Catwoman, and more. You could also choose to dress as a villain, such as the Joker and Harley Quinn. Many students showed their fun ideas and personalities with this category.
Thursday, Sept. 21st’s category was decades. Depending on grade level, you dressed like you were from the 50’s (freshmen), 60’s (sophomores), 70’s (juniors) or 80’s (seniors). The special Senior Sunrise also happened at the Dunedin Causeway. Seniors, decked out in 80’s themed funky neon clothes, enjoyed the event alongside their peers.
